    American defense qd+ DD irons

Does anyone run the combination of Trijicon MRO (non HD) in an American defense QD full co-witness mount and Daniel Defense fixed iron sights? it doesnt seem like everything lines up right. The front sight post and red dot both sit center of the glass with where my cheek sits naturally while looking through the MRO, but the rear sight seems like it sits just a bit lower than the MRO’s dot and front sight post
What American defense QD mount would resolve this issue?

ADM has MRO mounts in three heights listed as, low, co-witness, and lower 1/3 co-witness. Do you know which one you have? Sounds like you want a lower mount than you currently have. The one that sits highest is lower 1/3 co-witness.

Also, when i remove the MRO/Mount the DD fixed irons are perfectly aligned and are easy to pick up visually. Wouldnt a co-witness mount mean all 3 items would be on the exact visual plane?

If you wish to co-witness through your irons, adjust the dot until it falls perfectly on the front sight after it's properly aligned in your rear sight. Where the dot will be inside your optic will be dependent on the height of your mount. Technically speaking, with the co-witness height mount, that should put the dot roughly in the center of the glass. On a lower 1/3, co-witness, the lower third of the glass and so on.

Adjust your dot to match your aligned irons (assuming they're properly zeroed to the distance you wish) by looking through your irons and bringing the dot down to the right spot. Chances are the red dot should be still relatively centered in your glass.

Thanks mute, i took the MRO and was shooting plate size 10 round groups off hand standing @ 50 yards without zeroing the optic/ it was apparently dead on from factory. I honestly havent messed with the irons yet but was hoping out of the box the front Sight, red dot, and rear sight would all be pretty much aligned. I wish I could just raise the rear sight a couple of millimeters

@drewthebrave its almost as if its absolute for the dot and front post, and then if you half the distance between lower 1/3 on the rear sight, that what its feeling like.

Let's break it down. Are you saying that when you look through the rear sight and have the front post properly centered in the rear peep hole, that the red dot is sitting about and outside of the rear peep hole?

If you haven't already done so, your first step should be to zero your iron sights. The elevation adjustments will need to be made on your front sight post.
