Dang! I guess no one here ever used Bushnell AR Optic rifle scopes on big game hunting rifles.

There's no reason to use a scope with a BDC on a gun which uses a different cartridge for which the BDC isn't calibrated. The BDC tick marks are for .223/5.56, which AFAIK shoots a different trajectory than .270Win.

Sounds like your .270 is a hunting rifle, so get a scope with a simple duplex reticle.

I’ve read and heard these scopes are tested with 5k rounds of 375 H&H for recoil proof. My rifle is an Interarms Mark-X in 270 Win, built using barreled action, bedded to a B&C hunting stock. It’s got a pretty good kick with 150 grain bullet standard loads. Should I mount the Bushnell or save up for another Burris, or ——?—— ?

Haven’t really heard of folks mounting these scopes on hard kicking rifles.
If we can believe what you read about testing of the Bushnell AR it should be robust enough for your purpose.

The BDC hash marks won't jive with the optic design because the trajectory won't be the same with 270. But you can map 270 ballistics to the BDC hash marks as appropriate, and you will be using point blank out to 250 yds or more anyway.
