Leupold Mark 4, elevation is maxed. (FIXED)

It's a Mark 4 1.5-5x20mm MR/T M2 Illum. Reticle scope on an American Defense Scope Mount. I cannot turn the elevation up more...it's maxed out.

Is there a way to shim the scope mount? This mount would be similar to a Larue Tactical SPR.

    THANKS!

Do you know that this scope works?

This scope has 80MOA adjustment.... unless your elevation knob is broken.... it should not be max out....

For your issue, try a few things.... trying to figure out if it is a mount issue or it is an upper issue

    1) switch the rings front to back

    2) mount the scope forward and on the handguard and see if you STILL have an issue

    3) mount the scope backwards and mount the base to your front rail, or in between

    4) mount this onto a frd's rifle and see

If it is a mount issue, then it would NOT be similar to a LaRue SPR... a LaRue SPR mount will not have this problem.... lol

Why can't people just buy what is tested and proven out there, ie. LaRue.... and not try to skim on a few dollars, ie. ADM?

I didn't notice this issue when I was zeroeing her at 25yrds and then at 50yrds. Yesterday I went out to 75yrds and she was shooting a little low, so I tried to adjust a click but she wouldn't budge. Anyway...GOOD ADVICE! I will do these my next range trip. If all else fail I could go get Rings...they are easier to shim. Thanks Jicko!

I don't know what could be causing his problem but the ADM mounts work fine.
I have one and it has no issues. I didn't buy it to save money. I bought it because i swore would never buy anything from larue again awhile back after experiencing the worst customer service I have ever received.

Maybe bring the scope all the way down on elevation and then back up counting the clicks until it reaches the stop to make sure it is getting full travel.
If it doesn't have leupold check it out. All it costs is shipping to them.

What length barrel? What caliber? What rifle? I can't remember is that scope has the stop like the M3 knobs do. If so that would cause a problem if you don't zero with the knob off.

Chuck - It's my LWRC M6A2 rifle at the bottom in my signature. I would definitely not get a Larue, I'm done with that douche. If it is the AD mount then I'll just either return it and get another one or switch to rings. I will do all the testing when I go back to the range next week.

I did a search and a few problems popped up about maxing out their elevations. I also went on to Leupold's website and they DO have a FAQ about this issue. Here

How do you zero with the knob off...screw driver?

          Thanks.

This scope has a 0-Stop and an UP-Stop so when zeroing and you run out of elevation loosen up the set screw on the M2 turret and rotate it back to 0 then start giving it more elevation.

I hope this help if you still need help feel free to call and I can help you out.

Thanks for the tip. I have this scope, but never any issues with it. Just good to know!
