Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 FFP - comments?

a friend just recommended this to me, and sounds like a steal for a $700 scope... I am looking for an upgrade for my Primary Arms 4-14X44mm ACSS Riflescope and SWFA SS 10x42 Tactical.

EuroOptic has 14% off, which make the scope $600 + tax, but backorder right now.

Before pull the trigger, love to hear takes from fellow calguners

A lot of people love the Vortex scopes. I don't have one so I can't comment on their build quality. I have looked at then very hard for rifles though. I just don't care for their darn Christmas tree reticle. It's a personal choice. Like Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip. B.

I have several Vortex products. Having zero experience with this particular scope I’ll venture this- it’ll be a great/best option for the magnification and price range. You’d have to spend 2-3+ times more to do noticeably better optics wise.

I’m not a fan of Vortex scopes but will say the Viper has considerably better glass. I also believe it’s impossible to make a good quality scope with 25X magnification and FFP for the price of a Strike Eagle. I’ve never seen one.
