    Slide cut or dovetail?

Is it possible to mount a burris fastfire 3 on a subcompact xd 3inch wihout messing with the internals? Or should i go with a dovetail? This is also my carry gun so im skeptical about the dovetail losing zero. Thanks in advance.

    Good question

There are folks who make mounting plates for an RMR that uses the factory slide cut

I find that I find my irons first and the dot second shooting an RMR milled into a Glock.

Trying to find the dot, can be very slow.

My preference on a carry gun is what works for you.

The plates are cheap so that you can try a dot and if you love it, get the slide milled

EGW makes some of the plates

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Shop precision CNC-machined red dot adapter plates for Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, and more. Made in the USA from ultra-strong 7075 T6 aluminum. Lifetime warranty.

If I get my slide cut will it affect my internals since the loaded chamber indicator seems to be in the way?

Thank you for the link. If I buy the dovetail plate it would get pushed up by the loaded chamber indicator. So a better option would be a slide cut? We go back to the question if the slide cut would interfere with any internals.

Would anyone recommend getting the slide milled? Would the loaded chamber indicator have to be removed?
