    EOTech G45

Did EOTech ever release their G45 5x magnifier? Their website says out of stock and other websites shows backordered.

Are there any other reputable 5x magnifiers you guys would recommend? Thanks!

Hey, in for the info. I forgot they had it in the works and I was super excited at the time. This is really a game-changer.

$600 for quality glass magnifier is not really expensive for some depends who’s buying it can’t compare to a primaryarms magnifier(though good value in it’s own right. my husband and i are in our 50s and buy quality everything but that’s different than some kids with less disposable income whom may buy something cheaper because of it’s value. How about the $2800 spent on my husband’s birthday gift nightforce atacr 1-8 can’t compare that to a vortex strike eagle. my friend thought it was ridiculous we spent $120k on our porsche 911 turbo and was bragging her civic was only $18k, told her same thing and I didn’t put down her civic and think it’s a great value but can’t really compare it to a porsche turbo.

I get that but disagree somewhat.

It's basically an LPVO on a QD mount, with a 1x/5x toggle. I see guys spending a ton more than $600 on a fixed-power red dot with an RMR above or angled.

No hate on my end for those that want to pony up the dinero for that magnifier.

It does leave me scratching my head though wondering about EOTech's target audience considering you really can get a really good LPVO for less than that combo.

Can you recommend a LVPO between $500 to $800 to me? I wanted to pair the G45 with a XPS2 but I ended up returning my XPS2. I might purchase a Trijicon MRO but I want to use a LVPO first before buying another red dot.

I'd look at the Steiner P4XI or Vortex PST II. Reference supersetca:

Just a heads up: the Trijicon MRO doesn't play well with magnifiers. A magnifier will make the red dot look like a streak. Trijicon released the MRO HD to address this issue but it's more expensive and has only half the battery life compared to the original MRO. For that price, you might as well get an Aimpoint T2.
