Red Dot Optic Popularity vs Actual Value

Holosun is apparently the bee's knees nowadays huh? I had an Aimpoint for awhile on my Tavor - bulkiest damn thing ever.

Now looking to add ad smaller red dot to my AR10 and a few AR15's and wow - a search brings up Holosun 510C more times than anything else.

Are they really that good? I understand they are made by the CCP.

Which Aimpoint do you have on your Tavor? Have you tried their H1/T1?

Holosun has grown in popularity due to its price point and features. Based on that, they are good value optics

I have a Holosun 510C on my range rifles. All my defensive rifles have an Aimpoint T1 or T2 on them.

I wish Aimpoint would make a version of the T2 with a larger lens, similar to the Trijicon MRO.

The holosun is a good value and has good features for just about any application for the average to competitive shooter. Whether you just go to the range or you want to run it in a three-gun competition, it's more than sufficient. With that being said, if this was needing to be put on a duty rifle that I had to trust my life to, hell no! I don't think the holosun has ever been run in a real world application for an extended period of time in a s*** hit the fan situation. there are other better proven options. You just need to really decide on what's the application and if it's for strictly shooting steel or local competitions, then the holosun will be fine

Holosun dots are already being used by police departments, according to their guys at SHOT. They also make the LEDs for Sig Romeos and those have been approved as well, including the FBI.
