Sig sauer romeo5. Pre-Covid they'd go for 100, probably about 140 now. If you want something slightly better, look at other holosun and sig products.

Trijicon has "dual illuminated" red dots which are always on using tritium and fiber optics, like an AGOG. Obviously, out of your stated price range
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

some of the newer Primary Arms optics now have shake awake illumination. Some with magnification (I recently got their 2x prism for 7.62x39). The 2x, 3x, and 5x are just over your range but pretty nice. Not sure if any of their dots have shake awake. For less robust but very small/light I also have a Sig Romeo3 on a PCC, that one has shake awake too. Also just over your budget though.

Why not get an Aimpoint with 50,000+ hours of battery life.

Just change the battery on election night, every 4 years.

I forgot about 1-4x scopes. That’s not a bad option.

In that price range, your best option for a red dot with the Shake Awake feature is either Holosun or Sig Romeo.

I like my Holosun, but haven't torture tested it yet. You might also want to consider a Prism optic from Primary Arms, Swampfox, or Vortex. They have etched reticles like scopes so that you still have a visible aiming point if your battery dies. Some are available in 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, etc. If you have a massive budget, you can try an ACOG, but that's a big jump in price.

...and a simple reliable rotary switch you just flick on or off if you like... no micro chicklet double presses or adjusting brightness, etc... nice analogue switch that works and keeps working. Aimpoint PRO over any Holosun or whatever in that price range.

As far as Swamp Fox... I have a Justice and a Liberator RDS on order. Their prism, at least the TRIHAWK 3x is pretty impressive.

The Justice (RMR pattern) has a shake-a-wake function, but the Liberator (tube style) only has a 4-hour shut off and then you press UP brightness to get it back on.

I have a Sig Romeo 5 and it works well. Very bright, holds zero. Holosun and Primary Arms both make similar red dot sights. In fact they might even come out of the same factory in Made in China. The $250 price point is almost getting to duty grade USA made RDS, so maybe check out that route too?

The swampfox blade and trihawks are both impressive. Have a few of each and like them.

The Trihawk fov in particular is insane.
