    Vortex strike eagle 5-25x56

Anyone get their hands on one of these yet? I have a vortex razor hd gen 2 and a viper pst gen 1 (probably going to sell the pst gen one to have total reticle commonality) it will go on a back up 5r rig. Or should I just save up for another razor gen 2? Curious for input.

If you can afford another Razor, save for it.

They’re not in the same league, they only look the same.

I read the sniper's hide reviews. They made it sound pretty good. I would get t a pst gen 2 but I already bought the 34mm mount. Guess I'll keep saving.

I have an early Razor Gen II 4.5-27x56 EBR-2C MRAD, and I just got two Strike Eagle 5-25x56 EBR-7C MRAD scopes from CS Tactical (Thanks Richard!).

The Strike Eagle scopes are NOT in the same league as the Razor in terms of glass quality or build quality, but they do take the key features from the Razor and scale it down into a $700 scope with a lifetime warranty.

          34mm tube? Yes.

First focal plane Christmas-tree reticle? Yes.

10 MIL/REV locking turrets? Yes. (The adjustment clicks aren't as crisp as the Razor's clicks, but the reset-to-zero is easier to do on the Strike Eagle and requires fewer tools)

Elevation zero stop? Yes. (Very clever too, accomplished by way of an indexed drop-in spacer)

So the adjustment clicks are very usable, but not as crisp as I'd like.
The glass clarity is clear enough and usable, but not as clear as the Razor or Athlon Ares ETR.

So I think of the Strike Eagle as a Razor Jr. or Razor Lite.

I can buy 3 Strike Eagles for the price of 1 Razor Gen II, and I might just get a third one.
