    BSA Optics?

Just trying to get some opinions on BSA's Tactical line of scopes. They seem to be a nice scope at a reasonable cost. Anyone have experience with these?

BSA is a risky brand to go with. It tends to be lower-end Chinese optics, with all the problems that go along with that.

Some people have good luck with them, and I haven't heard much about their tactical line, but I'd avoid them, personally.

I have not used BSA but have used Simmons before. One scope in particular was great but one season i was snowed on for about 3 days and the scope leaked and developed fod inside, right on the crosshairs. Since then I would rather spend the cash than risk missing a shot.

Do not bother with a BSA. They look cool and come in a neato gift box, but they will not hold zero, and will most likely develop a host of other problems. I personally tried out a new BSA that wouldn't hold zero on a .22LR pistol. Like Maxicon said, it's a cheap Chinese optic.

However, I don't think all Chinese optics are bad. Consider Leupold, for example

What are you looking for in a scope? At that price range, Mueller or Vortex could be good places to start. I've heard great things about Vortex, and I'm seriously looking at their binos.

I personally like aimpoint and acog, but if you are looking for a decent scope Vortex, miller are good enough to do the job. I use those for my 22's and airsoft.

They are good for the price, but remember, you get what you pay for. For $100 more, you can get a much nicer scope.

Looking for a reasonably priced variable powered scope with mil dot reticle Would be going on a Rem 700 in .308

                Recommendations are welcome.

For the guys that recommended Mueller would this be a good scope?

Yup, that's the nicest tacticool Mueller. Only problem is the lack of parallax adjustment.

But if I were you, I'd give Vortex a closer look. For example:

                  4-12x40AO

Get 'em from Scott at Liberty Optics. Cheaper and awesome service.
