    Flip up sights?

What quality flip up sights would your recommend that are budget friendly and could be used as main sights until I could afford a decent optic? Thanks.

I don't like to skimp on anything personally. I'd go Troy first, M-I second. Get 'em "gently used" and save up to half off of new.

Once you TRY quality BUIS, you'll NEVER go back to the cheapies.

Troy, KAC micro, Magpul has a plastic version, and two steel versions.

          Ultra cheap: leapers UTG.

LMT also makes some. It’s $260 for the set

Also, what are you mounting it on?

I have gotten some feedback that on a high recoil rifle (like 458), the flip up sights can get flipped down by the recoil, so be sure to check it out if that’s your setup

Edit: I’m not sure what you define as a decent optic, but I personal got a sig Romeo5 for $139 instead of iron sights, because I am waiting for Troy, LMT or KAC sights to become available

I still don't have an optic on my AR. Just a couple of flip up Troy sights in their glow in the dark version. Works for me.

If you already have an A2 sight post I’d get the LMT or MaTech rears. A carry handle is even better though.

Prewarning: don't flame me bro for this suggestion.

For high value flip up sights (about $60 or cheaper), I actually recommend the UTG Accusync flip up sights. I call them the UTG version 2.0, as they are leaps and bounds beyond their earlier models that had a plastic detent. The picatinny mount area is also reinforced so it's not held merely in place by the screw, but also by a rectangular indent. UTG Accusync is also made in the US (at least that's what they claim).

I've used the V 2.0 flip ups for a couple of ARs now and it's held zero and served its purpose.

FAB Defense front and rear and another rear on another rifle. Just as cheap as Magpul on price, low profile, sturdy.

                      Agree 100%.

I run KAC front and rears and Noveske/Troy front and rears. Magpul will suffice though at $40 for the set.

For inexpensive either UTG or ozark armament.

What decent Magpul are $40 for a pair that are not airsoft knock-offs?

                              I think I pay $200+ for Pro's.
