    acog vs aimpoint m3 and 3x

    which setup would be better for price, weight and overall.
    its better to be judged by twelve, than to be carried by six.

    better is relative

    acog is lighter than aimpoint plus magnifer

    but with acog you are stuck at whatever magnification you get

    aimpoint with mag give you the option of 1x, 3x or 4x.....

    acog = no battery

    aimpoint = long battery life, but has batter

    all different......no way to easily judge without trying for yourself

      Anyone run a 4 MOA with 3X magnifier? Wondering if the 4 MOA is too big for that application...

        I have. It's pretty big, but then again it's designed for combat and not target shooting. 2MOA dot is probably more livable. After going through them all the 3-3.5X Acogs with the red arrow are my favorite. Yellow disappears in the sunlight.

          The ACOG 4x is a hot partol scope but has bad CQB
          so when you shoot under 70 yards you drive better with the M3

            I would suggest ACOG. Much better for the application.
            If you are worried on CQB, it has a Bindon technology that works as a red dot with both eyes open. But for the best model for long range and CQB then
            go for TA31- DOC. Best for both applications!
