    Ultimak for M1 Carbine???

They eyes aren't what they used to be so....
Anyone have or use an Ultimak scope mount on an M1 Carbine? What is you opinion? Anyone have one laying around they would like to sell, not too keen on the $95 price tag for a new one. Thanks for the input.

I've got one, and I like it a lot. Like any scout mount, it limits the magnified optics you can use, but for aging eyes on a CQB carbine, a red dot is just the ticket.

I'm thinking a T1 style red dot is going to be perfect. I haven't mounted my Sig look-alike on it yet, but I hope to do so pretty soon.

I bought mine on ebay on sale, and it was $90 shipped, which is about as cheap as they come. I don't see many used. I also have an Ultimak for the Mini 14, and they're both good quality, solid pieces of gear. When I got mine, Fulton Armory had the second best price I could find.

Here's the rifle with the Ultimak - I think it works very nicely with the original lines.

And with an Ultradot mounted - it's a little big and clunky, but it's a great sight. I'll try to get some pics with the Sig mounted up soon.
