    red dot mounting question

Hey guys I have a trijicon ta31 acog. I want to add a doctor type red dot to it. I found the mount but the question I have is do similar red dots such as, burris fastfire, optima 2000 and doctor have the same mounting screw pattern?

they all look similar by using the two scews on top.

The mount in question. states doctor mount but do the other I mentioned share the same mounting specs and interchangeable

The JPoint, Tasco Optima, Firepoint, and Trijicon Red Dot (TRD) all share one mount hole style, and are essentially the same sights. It's not the same as the Docter/Fastfire/etc style.

The Fastfire, Docter, Pride Fowler, and RDP-II all share the same mount pattern, though a mount with protective wings needs a cut-out for the Fastfire power switch.

Most of the ebay clones are the Docter style, I believe.

Please consider using a Mark Burkett mount or a DD 1 o'clock mount or even the cheap YHM 45deg mount... for the docter...

The docter on top of the ACOG is very unusable....

Just an FYI: It's Matt Burkett not Mark.

"The docter on top of the ACOG is very unusable" <----- NOT TRUE! I would not say that! It really depends on how you shoot: top mount works great for lefty shooters!

Here are some mounts sold at Brownells : http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...JPOINT%20MOUNT
