Sig Sauer Kilo 2000, Any good?

I am in the market for a decent priced range finder and Just saw this one on sale at Bass pro:

I use one. It is AWESOME. Works great. I had a cheaper one, like a Bushnell that went to 600 yards. It sucked. NOt sure it was a Bushnell though.

Anyway, the Kilo 2000 is great. It's hard to hold it still enough to get a good read when you get out to longer ranges.

I had the first one that came out. I was able to range on F-18s. LOL Very fast updating.

I'll put some reflective tape on target stands 1000 yards out to help sometimes.

I've never had to change the batteries.

They can only have gotten better.

I have the Kilo 2200 only because I had some Bass Pro gift cards. Otherwise I would have stuck with the 2000. Great price.

I have the 2200 BDX only because I got got a great deal on it. Pretty much the same as the 2000, just shorter range. The 2200 will work (range) out to 1 mile, and provide elevation numbers out to 800 yards. One thing to be aware of is don't use an android device to update firmware. Bullet profiles no issue, but firmware use an apple iPhone that has the BDX app.

My iPhone was older and it didn't have the newer OS software, but my android tablet did. In short android will work fine to run the BDX app, but are more prone to disconnecting from blue tooth during the firmware updates. Basically bricked the my first range finder (which was the 2000). I returned it with a note explaining the firmware issue and got the 2200 in exchange for just a bit more.

Used a friends newer iPhone for the mandatory firmware update on the 2200 and no issues. Extremely fast and accurate range information. Pluse it holds a lot of bullet profiles, I probably have about 15 stored, compared to only three on my kestrel. Once a bullet profile is synced with the range finder, you don't need to have your phone. The range finder stores the ballistic data for that profile. When you range, you see the distance, then elevation and wind data.

I have a Sig Kilo 1200 and love it. Only 4X power but I have ranged reflective targets out to 1400 yards. Very clear lens and easy to use.

Im the contrarian here, I got a kilo abs, worked awesome for a couple weeks. Went to a match, it failed hard. Wouldn’t range past 50 yards on a big rig trailer. Sent it in, replacement wouldn’t range past 600 yd. sent that back, 3rd one ranges ok but the display is rotated about 15 degrees from vertical.

I sold it after use it for few time. It only good when you range big highly reflective target. It won’t range any vegetation with mid to high mirage condition.
