Amazon won't ship scope to CA...

Now California is banning shipments of mouthwash? What's next?

I had the same issue ordering a scope from Amazon last night. Shipping address was a street address in CA, not PO Box. The item has a Prop.65 warning on the webpage, so should be no problem to ship. Someone at Amazon forgot to take it off the 'no-sell' to CA list.
I went in circles with Amazon Customer Support via text. The flat out would not understand their error or fix the problem. I gave up. I ended up ordering from another vendor and actually got it for $50 less than Amazon's price. Hopefully it will arrive without any issue.Leave a comment:

A couple of less reactionary people have already offered suggestions as to why, and it has nothing to do with California laws.
My default address on Amazon and ebay are my PO Box as USPS does not offer residential delivery in my city. When I get that message, I change to my secondary address which is my street address.
Then, the item either arrives to my door via UPS or FedEx, or if sent by USPS it ends up getting routed to my PO box anyway.
Try that next time, I have not had any problems once I figured it out.Leave a comment:

Just don't do business with Amazon.. They hacked my credit card at Christmas for almost $6k after my wife joined amazon prime. Charged the membership to all my credit cards too. Then got 3 charges on one card for $1800. Talk about a real PAIN cancelling cards. Bank advised me to lock my credit. :-(
ps. Mama and Daddy solved the Cali problem years ago by moving us to South CarolinaLast edited by sw282; 03-08-2020, 7:51 AM.Leave a comment:

Just tried to order Vortex Strikefire as replacement for failed Holosun, nope, nada, neigh. During check out, item red flagged, unable to deliver to address. I changed from street address to PO Box and still same message. Deleted from cart.Leave a comment:

Try buying a car battery charger that will charge up a severely low battery.
Nope, can't have it.Leave a comment:

No problems with SWFA on Amazon. Amazon even offered me a credit card for purchasing the scope.Wtf is wrong with this state and these progressive internet giants that they think they can lawfully restrict interstate commerce.
I went to purchase a PA 1-6x24 scope, which I have purchased before on Amazon and i get this as I try to checkout:
I am so fed up with this $#!+.
This was part of an order of half a dozen items. I'm cancelling everything and going straight to Primary Arms and other vendors for everything.
Before the SWFA purchase I could not purchase another scope that I wanted from a reseller and I know it wasn't a prop whatever either because a year before I had purchased the exact same model scope.
The scope was a Leupold 6.5-20x40 30mm tube.Leave a comment:

Weird. I just bought an Ameriglo set of handgun night sights from Amazon last week. Arrived the next day. BTW, I was worried that I might end up with fakes, but I compared them with another set I'd bought from Midway recently. If they sent me counterfeit sights, they sent me damned perfect copies anyway. So I think I got lucky.Leave a comment:

Friends don't let friends order gun parts from Amazon. Their logistics processes make it way too easy to infect their stock with counterfeits, and their algorithms actually increase the likelihood you'll buy one.Leave a comment:

I ran into this exact same scenario! Nobody at Amazon could tell me why it could not be shipped to CA. When I called their version of customer service was to read to me the generic notice that I got on the website.A few months ago, I was not able to purchase from amazon a direct replacement for my hansgroe hand held shower originally purchased back in 2014 since it exceeds the 1.8 gal per minute "magazine capacity" legislation passed in 2018.

Never mind that the largest consumers of water in Ca is by FAR: agriculture, mfg and electricity.
But sure... go after my 2.0gpm shower head.
Then I put 2 and 2 together.
However, come to find out the thing that limits the flow is just an easily extracted bit of plastic. NOT THAT I WOULD EVER MODIFY MY HANDHELD SHOWERHEAD!!!Leave a comment:

Its for your, and all of our safety. How can you be upset about CA looking out for you and keeping you safe. Why are you anti-safety?Leave a comment:

It's all about the extraction of tribute to the enlightened Oligarchs chosen by the gods to govern and protect us for our own good.
You have to hire a California approved lawyer to put a California approved label to sell in California. Those that have been blessed by the Oligarchs to grant such to the merchants, and who make a wealthy living doing so, then in turn pay the Oligarchs of California or are themselves family or patrons of these greedy crooks running our state.
Its a way to make a bribe not a bribe and legal.
Control the commerce and ye will have the keys to the gold chest even if it is not your gold chest to do with what you want!
