Looking for scope mount

Been looking in the stores and online for a scope mount to put on my pistol (FN 5.7 for starters) that has a rail in front of the trigger guard. I'd like to attach the mount to it then have the mount have a picatinny over the top of the slide of sufficient length to mount a scope to it. The ones I've found seem to be just long enough for a "red dot" type. Also a scope recommendation would help too. If the arrangement works, I would do the same for my 6" 1911 in 10mm too.
