Side Sling Mount for Bolt Gun

I've got a Mossberg MVP Flex with the AR-style stock. This is a bolt gun but has a "tactical" look to it that I don't really care for. I got it mostly because I can't keep a rifle slung on my shoulder to save my life and like being able to front carry (cross-body carry) while slowly still-hunting my way in the woods for deer hunting.

I've been thinking about swapping out to the more traditional stock (synthetic) but still want to be able to front carry the rifle so it's ready for a quick, off-hand shot if/when one presents itself. What sling mounts are available to allow a side-mounted sling, for front carry, on a traditional rifle?

Would putting flush cups in the side of the stock for quick release swivels work?

Maybe. I've seen some kind of strap system that attaches to the rear of the stock but I can't think of what it's called.

Take a look at this thread, maybe the sling in the videos might work for you.

Hunting Gear Discussion - Secure side mount sling attachment for hunting rifle? - I'm looking for an improved method of attaching a sling that keeps the rifle secure with flat side against my back, from bouncing around or poking me, and without requiring me to keep my hands on it. My rifle is a Kimber Mountain Ascent,

I always used a 2 pointer to carry to and from my hunting area. Always kept rifle in my hands when stalking or just cradle it.

          Choose your method...

OP may be describing a 3 point sling. 3 pointers usually come with all kinds of strap on kit.

            Something like this?

The Viking Tactics Buttstock Adapter is designed specifically for the full stock AR-15. This adapter will fit all AR-15 full stock firearms as well as most
