    Trijicon ACOG calibration question

Will a trijicon ACOG optic calibrated for a .223 work on a .308? The reason I'm asking is because I want an optic solution that will work for both my AR-15 and my M1A.

    Thanks,
    Kareem

P.S. I searched and found nothing, even on google.

Calibrated as in the BDC reticle found in the NSN model? No - the drops in that reticle are designed for M855 out of an M4. Can you use an ACOG with both an AR and an M1A - sure, but you can't expect the hardwired BDC to work between two different calibers and loads. I would just get an ACOG without a BDC reticle.

To 600 yards, the BDC drop differences are negligible. Beyond that, the gap widens significantly.

My advice, get the .308 ACOG and use it for the AR-15 up to 600 yards.

Thank you both for your input. I opted to go for the .308 calibrated version to use for both my M1A and my AR15.

        Thanks again,
        Kareem
