Looking for a sub $300 scope

I'm looking for a sub $300 scope for a 16" carbine. It will be used for <200 yard coyote hunting. I do not need it to do anything past 200 yards. I also prefer that it be somewhat short in overall length, (like the ACOG), so it doesn't look out of place on a carbine.

I been looking at the Burris Scout and Leupold VX-1 shotgun. But on that note the Millet DMS is a hot ticket right now.
