    RDS/RMR mounting alignment question

I picked up an RMR mount for my uzi carbine. It came with a jig and despite that the plate still has a slight cant to the left. From what I understand of a RDS this doesn't really matter as the parallax free nature of them will negate any alignment issues. Is this correct?

Yes, provided you can get it zeroed.

Keep in mind it’s likely only parallax free at 50 yards or meters.

All the cant means is it won't track perfectly vertical during zeroing. You might need to add some amount of windage relative and linearly to any elevation adjustments made.

But once zeroed it doesn't matter. Anyone who mounts a reddot or irons offset to a magnified optic go through the same thing.

Thanks guys. I weighed the idea of enlarging the rear hole to get a better alignment but as it is now it's very solid. I'd rather deal with a reliable cant versus a more aligned plate that may wander.
