red dot for 300 blackout

anyone have suggestions for red dot on a 300 blackout build? running 7.5 barrel

also if anyone recommends a sight package.

5 years ago it was simple-- go with Eotech, Aimpoint Pro, or Aimpoint micro T1/H1.

These days there's so many great RDS's out there.

I personally went with a Trijicon MRO Green Dot for my latest rifle. The Green Dot has less battery life than the MRO red dot but I love the way it looks through the optic.

But the Trijicon MRO is $350 price point and that is what I have decided to go with at the $350-$450 price point for all my rifles/carbines now. I really like them.

But there are so many options out there now between $125-$175 that seem to be great.

For instance, last week I found a BNIB Sig Romeo5 red dot for $100 on eBay. So far I love it-- especially for the price. Usually can find them for around $125. Very crisp red dot, came with 2 mounts- a low mount and a co witness mount, and very well made. Battery will last forever too because of the motion activation system they use.

But then there's RDS's like Holosun and Primary Arms RDS-- I've never tried either but the Primary Arms Advanced micro RDS or whatever it's called is under $200 and seems like a really great option.

As mentioned, personally, for my rifles/carbines I want to stake my life on, I have been going with the Trijicon MRO lately, but a lot of really great options-- as far as price vs quality, I think Primary Arms Advanced micro RDS seems to be great bang for the buck-- can get them off their website with mount.

300 blackout 7.5" barrel

I'm using a vortex strikefire and I like it, wouldn't say I LOVE it. It holds zero strong. It was around $275 as I recall. My pistol AR was designed around the ideal CQB AR platform. I can consistently ring 20" steel plates @ 100 yards with it but it was designed more for home defense, it sounds like 7.5" your going for close range defense as well.
