What are your experiences using this scope in lower light levels (the period when some animals tend to be most active)? Is this scope adequate or not?

Burris Scout Scope/ 2-7x32mm

Sorry, have never played with their scout scopes, but I have the non-scout 2-7x32 e1. I like the optics, clear with no visible aberrations. It seems to work well, and is a bit brighter than ambiant, during twilight. Main issue is that it could use a lit reticle, because it tends to get lost in low light against a dark background. It's mounted on the 7.62x39 ar.Last edited by kenl; 04-18-2019, 5:41 PM.sigpic
California, the once-great first world state that is now a corrupt third world socialist cesspool. -
I have one mounted atop my M1A Scout. I’ve been using it for more than several years now. So far it’s been durable, repeats and tracks decent. I like the reticle (plex w/ subtensions), but Burris could add an illumination option for lowlight and maybe another reticle choice. Also, the glass isn’t out of this world Nightforce quality, but it’s good enough in low light to pick up and take out small game.Comment

OP - by purely accident (I didn't intend to do this) I ended up with a Burris E1 and C4 on both of my primary hunting rifles (270 win and 257 weatherby). I like the performance, price point, durability, and overall quality. I would think you would be happy with that scope for the use you described..Originally posted by jmonte35Disagree. Been trying to teach lewdogg21 how to hunt. It's like trying to teach Steve Wonder how to see. Not sure we're ever going to get there.Comment

I have and use a Burris FFII 2-7 scope, I like it, but would not buy another 2-7.
I also do not like scout scopes. Why ate you going with one?Comment

I have LER (handgun) and regular rifle scopes from Burris, I like them and never had any problems with them. My Burris handgun scopes are older and i liked them better then Leupold or B&L, because they had wider field of view.Comment
