    Sig Tango 4 vs Steiner P4xi 1-4?

Anyone have an opinion about which one is better than the other? They appear to be about the same price and even tend to go on sale at the same times. There's nowhere for me to try both out so I figured I'd check here.

No experience with either but if you're considering the Tango 1-4, it's on a really good sale that I posted in deals section, it sold out last night but restocked this morning:

I have a Sig Tango 4, and I have messed around with the Steiner P4xi. They are very comparable in a lot of ways. The Sig is heavier, but probably also more able to take abuse.

They both have clear glass, like way above their price-point clear, but I think the Sig is mslightly clearer.
The Sig is FFP and the Steiner is SFP, so the Sig reticle is always the same point of impact regardless of what magnification you have it on. However, that also means that the illumination is nowhere near as bright as the Steiner.
I really like the Sig turrets. They are exposed, but they lock in when you want them to, and have a really great zero stop if you would actually use that on a 1-4x. I have not messed with the Steiner's turrets, I have only really shot through it.

My take is that if you can get either on sale for $400-$500 then it is a great price. If it is $600 or up, then I would shop around or take the time waiting for it to go on sale to save more and buy a scope in a higher class. If daylight bright illumination is important to you then don't get the Sig, but if FFP is important to you, then the Sig is probably the best value option. If you want durability go with the Sig, but understand that means it is heavy.

Sig is 300 in a couple of places and the Steiner is about 485.

I like the sig, but the Steiner is a better product in my opinion.
Clearer glass and more defined turrets. Also a little lighter.

I looked the Sig and the Steiner today, first off both are very good for the money, but the Steiner had clearer glass. Also the reticle on the Sig at 1x was ridiculous, can barely see when looking at a colored background like foliage, both with the illumination cranked up or off.

Sounds like the Steiner is the way to go. Thanks all!
