    Burris Fastfire 3 Question

I bought a Burris Fastfire 3 used off eBay. It came with the Burris Hood/Cover installed - how the heck do you get that damn thing off without damaging the Fastfire?

Dunno but I want one of those hoods, mine did not come with...

This one looks interesting and is supposed to be easier to remove and work better https://www.amazon.com/Dream-Plastic.../dp/B079SM15Z6

Slides straight on and off - friction holds it on. Unless someone forced it on backwards. There is a channel for the power button on one side. Even with cover on you should see the button on the left IIRC... can use it in the rain with the cover.

Was thinking about it and obviously yours is not mounted on a gun so the sight might be inserted into the cover farther than I've seen it... I cover mine installed on guns so they can only go on so far.

Might not be easy to grab on to pull it out that way. Just be careful around the sides not to use anything that could chip the exposed and fragile glass of the projector. (or any tool used through the mounting screw holes because the lense is near the screw holes).

I'd probably try something like silly putty or something that would stick to the bottom or try to get a grip on the sides near button and opposite side if exposed.

Thank you! It came off easily once I knew it just slides on and is held on by friction-fit and not locking tabs.
