Matt S, does the Aridus adapter allow the use of any Mossberg 500 stock, or is the design unique to the Magpul SGA stock? Thanks!
Aridus Industries makes an adapter so you can use the Magpul SGA stock with the 1301. I highly recommend it

There is also the Mesa Tactical adapter for M4 style stocks, Has QD mounts built into the adapter? I have one with the hydraulic buffer tube, shoots incredibly soft. You can use either a standard carbine buffer tube or the hydraulic tube, which is a bit heavier, but so worth it IMHO.
Mesa Tactical's LEO Gen II Telescoping Stock adapter and pistol grip system for the Beretta 1301 semi-automatic shotgun, made specifically with law enforcement in mind.
Optics Planet has this kit too, but not sure if they will ship to CA anymore?

Yup, checked Aridus website. They made it clear that it would work with the Magpul SGA stock, but it was unclear whether it would work with any other Mossberg 500 stock -- which is why I thought I'd ask here.
Ha, I love Magpul too. But:
1. What if I wanted an even shorter LOP? Hogue's youth stock for the Mossberg 500 has a LOP of only 12".
2. What if I wanted a traditional wood stock?
3. What if I wanted a pistol grip stock?
The Mossberg 500 is one of the most popular firearms in America, with a robust aftermarket. If the Mesa adaptor *only* works with the Magpul SGA stock, that's a great stock, but you'd be missing out on a lot more that's out there.
Cool, thank you. That's an option, too.
They still ship to California; it's just that they started charging sales tax after 2019-04-01 and they're cracking down on Prop 65 (e.g. they wouldn't ship me a rifle case because it has harmful chemicals that might give me cancer [no joke])."The nation that will insist on drawing a broad line of demarcation between the fighting man and the thinking man is liable to find its fighting done by fools and its thinking done by cowards." Check the flowchart:
So long as you have a fixed stock (either it comes fixed or you make it fixed via a stock lock pin or something like that), you're fine.Last edited by butlers; 07-05-2019, 3:41 PM."The nation that will insist on drawing a broad line of demarcation between the fighting man and the thinking man is liable to find its fighting done by fools and its thinking done by cowards." I had the Mesa Urbino pistol grip stock (still have it available for sale), which was pretty good. I liked the look of the M4 style, so I bought the adapter with the hydraulic buffer tube and MOE SL stock. I love the look and the reduction in recoil. I adjusted the length to my liking and pinned my stock so it's fixed now.Last edited by hardcore4sure; 07-05-2019, 5:31 PM.Comment
