Repairing the reticle on an old Weaver K4 scope

I have an old Weaver/JC Higgins K4 scope that the reticle has rotated in the tube. How would i fix it? its basically the only scope that will fit the JC HIggins model 29 .22LR rifle made by Hi-Standard. It has an oddball dovetail size, so this style of scope is the only one which will fit the mount. I got an excellent deal on the gun and scope, but after the last session with the kids something happened on the way home. it got bumped somehow, or shook loose in transit back home. Is it worht it to fix? I can get another used on Ebay for $40, but would rather not deal with the hassle of Ebay.

Contact weaver, they may be willing to fix it....maybe even under warranty. if that fails, I'd get one off of Ebay. You probably couldn't get it repaired for less than $40

Recently acquired a Model 30 JC Higgens. Rifle is from some where in the 70's. Went to install some Weaver Rim fire scope mounts,, only to find the dove tail groves on the rifle are considerably narrower than the brackets on the mounts. So whats the deal here? I have owned a bunch of dove tail...

Found this thread on a different approach to getting another scope on there.

I also read somewhere that those are 11mm dovetails which I have NO IDEA if it is true. If they are 11mm dovetails they are the same as a CZ 455 which I just ordered rails for... dunno if either will fit that rifle but they clamp onto an 11mm rail to convert to a pic. Seems like it they were not too long it'd work.

BKL, Warne and Leupold also make 11mm scope rings if that helps

The dovetail is actually more like 5/16". Oddball size, but scopes seem to be common on ebay, mounts not so much.
