    Anyone running custom turrets?

Like it says above, is anyone running custom turrets on their rifles? I know Leopold and other optics companies will make custom turrets for their scopes, at the buyer's request.

I was thinking of doing it for my wife. I'd love for the turret to be marked so she can just dial it for the yardage and be done. Explaining Mils and Minutes of Angle to her is pointless.

    Was it worth it?
    Did it work?

    I reload, so that's not a problem.

Here's a picture. Feel free to comment on that if you don't have experience with custom turrets, like me.

How about I would have had experience with custom M3 knobs for a Mk 4 3.5-10X until I talked to the rep and compared his computed numbers with my real life numbers and they didn't come anywhere close beyond 300yds.

Another option was to give them your known "come-ups" for each distance and they will engrave the knob accordingly. I happened to have a spare M3 knob that I blacked out and scribed my own 100yd increments.

The disconnect between my numbers and Leupold could be that chronographs are not accurate, the mfr listed BC is incorrect, the scope elevation is not perfectly MOA, or some other variable overlooked.

They make custom tape that wraps onto your turret too.

Oh, that's cool. I'll look into it. Thanks.

Check out Kenton Industries too, custom turrets and ballistic strips.

Yes, I have custom ones for a Mark AR 3-9x I use on my .17 HMR. It works close enough for me, of course elevation and pressure will impact drop and velocity, but it's close enough for me.

I use the OEM caps on my 5.56 rifles and xm193 lands within a few clicks (.1 mils) at each marker with both my 18.5" and 16" barrels.

These are very flat shooting cartridges though, not sure it would be so easy with slower rounds.

I’m going to be ordering from Kenton once I get dialed in.

But what I really want to know is, who was Bill smiling at? Maybe a hot girl?
