I had a RV-2 for several months. No issues. CompM4 size basically. RV-2 has push button controls instead of the rheostat that RV-1 has.
Pretty simple optic, seemed rugged/overbuilt. Crisp dot (although I never ran it with NV).
Traded it with a co-worker and it is still performing just fine for them.
