Help ID'ing a Colt Carry Handle Scope.

Hello Everyone,
I have pulled out a very old Colt Carry Handle Scope from storage of my old service gears. All I know is that it is a Colt scope.
History- I received it during a one of the many excess ammo-type detail my squad got assigned to with the 5th Special Forces group back in 2001. A Weapons Sergeant gave me the scope, and the only thing I remembered was that he said another SF member gave this to him 8 years prior when he was a regular Infantry soldier.

The current condition of this scope is almost the way I received it from the SF individual.
Note: there are absolutely no markings on this scope as in the mfg, brand, model, etc., other than the range markings. It doesn't even appear to have those markings scratched off, or even etched in or engraved in, in the first place.

After many researches, and google-ing, I came across a small info that this might have been one of the British contract Colt scopes that was used in SAS/SBS and US SFG, but I am not 100% on it.

If anyone have any knowledge or more information regarding this scope, greatly appreciated, as I am trying to sell off my old military gears to buy presents.

















The Colt Carry Handle - Iron Sight is a Anchor Harvey Aluminum (splintered A, A1 mark). This carry handle wasn't with the scope when I received it, it was a extra handle I had laying around during service.

It looks similar if not identical to a Colt 3x or 4x, but those are marked Colt. Maybe a clone?

I have thought of that, but couldn't find a clone that looked like this anywhere, not on ebay, not on other sites, etc. Also, would clones be common, let's say since the early 90s since the previous user had it 8 years prior to giving it to me in 2001, and prolly been in use much longer than that before. ( I don't know much of the history of Colt items of the past.)

Honestly, if anyone here have some time on their hands, is very knowledgeable in these old-possible Colt items, and hopefully located in or near OC, I'd gladly take it over for you to take apart and help me figure it out.

I will wait for more information hopefully from other members.

I did find a picture of what appears to be a foreign soldier (maybe US) holding up and using a scope very similar to this.





I figured it is related to these scopes, as there is no "notch" toward the front of the scope like all those Japan/US made Colt scopes. The "eye" sight / back-end of the scope I have matches everything of the US/Japan Colt scopes, its just the front end that doesn't have a "notch."
From this I kinda ruled out clone, but not sure either way. ( I guess I am kind of hoping this item to be some kind of "super-rare" colt scope, lol )

I had an identical "unmarked" scope made by Hakko (or Hako) back in the late 1990's. The ocular ring seemed to have the same knurling.
