    Bug Buster mounts for AR

What type and height mounts would I need for a Bug Buster scope? It comes with QD rings The front sight is regular AR 15 type. I want it to clear the fold down rear sight, when folded. This is my first AR based rifle, M14's were still issue back in 66. Thanks in advance.

I had to do a search for bug buster scope. I suggest you keep saving.

Maybe go to the range and see what others are using.

    Good luck and have fun.

It was a gift and I never go to a range.

UTG Bugbusters scopes are tacticool and compact. Work just fine for shooting 25, 50, 100 yards. Perfect for run of the mill AR15 with 16" barrel and A2 front sight.

The Nikon 1" P series mounts/rings will work just fine for most.

I've got one of those and bounce it around to a few guns, they hold up VERY well for the money. I've got it on a PEPR QD mount.

An rings of the appropriate diameter that raise the centerline of the scope to 1.375"–1.5".

In most cases this height allows enough clearance for the eyepiece to clear a rear folding BUIS. Given that the scope's eye relief leaves enough rail space to mount a rear sight.

Cantilever mounts or rings can be used to either mount the scope further forward or used in reverse to gain a little more picatinny space to the rear.

Inexpensive scopes can be okay as long as you don't plan on messing with the turrets a lot.

I think most people use UTG High Mounts from Amazon for around $12 to $15.
