    Vortex kicks ***!!!!!!

    Folks,

I have owned a lot of scopes. Zeiss, SWFA SS, Leupold etc. Many lower end, and lower mid range Vortex scope. But holy ****, I purchased a Vortex Viper PST
43128. 6x24x50 FFP, EBR2, from Bass Pro for $808 OTD.
Zero stop, Horus style reticle, illuminated and the glass is spectacularly clear from 6X to 24X. Shot out to 915 yards and was dead on. Glass is without a doubt the best I have ever owned. Colors are sharp and bright at distance, and absolute legacy buy once, cry once Scope. A2

While I do like vortex Optics a lot. Being zeroed out of the box is pure luck. Unless I misunderstood what you were getting at.

        BigTwin,

They are not zeroed out of the box. At this trim level, the scope comes with shims that allow me to retain zero know matter how high I go. I spin the turret as low as it will go, then set it to zero wham!. A2

Vortex scopes are top notch and their warranty is the best in the business.

Vortex makes some really nice stuff, I laugh at the naysayers.
But then again when you look through a Swarovski or US optics they reaffirm the fact you get what you pay for.

I agree with OP I have two of those scopes. Best bang for your buck in my opinion.

Thanks for the clarification USMC, your first post made it sound a little different, that's why I said what I said. But now I understand where you're coming from

If you ever have to use it (I did) their customer service and warranty is the best. It's literally the best for anything ever made.

I had a minor issue with a pair of binoculars that needed to be sent back and I had a prepaid shipping label within 24 hours. My bino's only have 10x magnification but they are so clear, I could see things more defined at distance than binos offering double the level of magnification.

I am a vortex customer for life.

to be fair, it's more about who the OEM of the scope is. vortex viper is made in japan, right? I believe they're Light Optical Works?

Been happy with my Vortex scopes. Started off with a Crossfire, then went with Diamondback, and now enjoying my Viper. Good stuff.

I have a total of 6 PST scopes, both gen 1 and gen 2. Been a fan since they first came out. I agree they're the best bang for the buck out there.

I’m a hunter and while Vortex scopes track well I find their low light performance lacking in the Viper, Diamondback and Crossfire lines.
