    red dot / mount for a 627

I just bought a used 627 pre lock that had been previously used for compition. it has a ported bull barrel with no front sight. on the rear it has a jack weigand base for a tasco optima 200 that was discontinued over 15 years ago. mr weigand stated it might fit a burris fast fire but isn't sure. I was thinking of a vortex viper or venom but not sure. real question is should I get a base or order a rail from weigand? is there really a difference also iam not married to vortex but don't have a super budget.

just looking for thoughts . thanks

The old Tasco 200 was also branded as the Jpoint. I know that that mount would fit the newer Leupold Deltapoint.

Or get a new mount for the scope you prefer.
