Lower height AR15 mount
Tags: None -
Curious if anyone is aware of any options/products I have not found yet. Looking to mount the scope forward for eye relief but approx ½” lower than the common 1.5” high ar15 mounts such as Bobro and ADM. They are just too high for my preference. Desired height as seen in pic below: (Scope has a 30mm tube) From rail top surface to scope body: approx ½ “= 13 mm From rail top surface to center of eyepiece approx : 1 1/32” = 27 mm . Below are the best two options I’ve found so ...
Hmm...looks like you may need a cheek riser?
What stock and scope? For an ar15?Comment

Actually that M4 thread gives me some other ideas. Backup plan would be a cheek riser but those are problematic on AR15 (I've got a separate check riser thread going on elsewhere).https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread...ing-on-an-AR15

PRI precision reflex mount is 1.3" to scope center. $148 is a little better for a quality mount.
Another option is a Yankee Hill cantilever .5" riser with low or medium rings. That will keep you at 1.2 or 1.3" high. I believe A2 rear sights are 1.3 to 1.4" high. I was able to transition from service rifle irons to optics fairly easily.
