    March Optics Scope

Anyone have any experience with March Scopes? I recently glommed one that appears to be NIB at a pretty good price.

It is the 3-24 x 42 FFP tactical.

Extremely expensive glass, very nice. Not super popular in the States. Pretty popular in OZ.

      Thanks.

I got this for less than half the list price and it appears to have never been mounted. Just wondering how it stacks up against the high dollar Euro and American Scopes like NF, US Optics, S&B, etc

I've seen a few March 1-4.5X scopes in service rifle matches. They are the top of the line along with the NF scopes.

They're top of the line scopes, on par with the others you mentioned. Personally I think March and S&B are some of the most over priced scopes on the market but at half price you got a smokin' deal.

              Thanks, Paul.

I checked with March Optics today, who advise that the scope was originally sold on 12/7/2017...so less than a year old. Bolsters my belief that it was never mounted.

The March 3-24 is pretty compact and light compared to something like S&B or NF offerings of similar magnification. I have one on my LR hunting M70 setup. I like the image through the my ATACR better, but it is huge and heavy

                  Thanks, Jed.

Any fears that it it might be a little fragile compared to the NF due to being lighter/

I've only seen them on airguns, so never had the chance to look through one at more than a couple hundred yards. Very nice glass and excellent rangefinding abilities.

I am sure there is a trade off for everything, but mine is on my 270WSM and I hunt hard with it, it gets dirty dusty bounced around a little and I never had a problem with it.

The custom rifle maker I used in AZ was a huge fan of March, I wanted NF at the time but looking back I would loved to have used one, as that particular NF kept having issues.

Great scope and on my short list for next optic. An internet search for your scope will take you to numerous threads / reviews on Snipers Hide.
