Help! Yankee Hill Flip up sight wont flip up!

I just received the new QDS system from Yankee hill, but neither the front or rear sight flip up when the button is pushed unless us use two hands and apply a great amount of pressure. I tried drenching them in oil but it did not help. does any one have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Send it back. It's defective.

Remove them, see if they flipup easily then, and if so remount them. Sometimes when mounting BUIS they get seated wrong and won't flipup at all, or do not do so easily. Removing them, adjusting their position slightly on the railed surface should correct this problem. It can take a few attempts to get them seated correctly.

Sounds really crazy, but I've had this same problem with all kinds of different brands of sights including GG&G, Troy, Midwest Industries and a few others. Adjusting their position always worked.

If when removed, however, they do not flip up easily they are indeed not functioning properly.
