Both are good scopes, although I will honestly admit that scopes around $2k are getting so good, that taking the plunge on a $3k optic is increasingly difficult.

I would also check out Athlon Cronus, Delta Stryker HD 4.5-30x56 (I really like the reticle in this one), Vortex Razor Gen 2 and NIghtforce ATACR F1.

Also, add Leupold Mark 5 to the list. Leupold really did a good job with these.

Start out by figuring out which reticle works for you and go from there. Then decide how much money you can spend.

I really like the S&B, but the one thing that always stands out is the weight. It is a big heavy scope. Not a big deal for benched up paper punching, but a little bit of an issue if doing PRS

+1 for the Leupold Mk5. The Leupold Mark 5 were really impressive to me, quality and lightweight. Definitely check them out.

I also still really like the Eotech Vudu 5-25 FFP Short.

Some of these things are not like the others. The S&B is $2k+, the Zeiss is like $800.

If you plan to shoot steel matches you might want a ballistic reticle. Hard to get 10 shots off at 4 different ranges and 2 positions in 90 seconds when you're dialing.

when you get into the $3 grand range your into the euro optics and the glass is leaps and bounds above the scopes you mentioned...ive owned all the scopes you mention except for the Mark 5.

ive also owned a minox ZP5 and currently own a kahles 624i and NONE of the japanese glass compare to euro glass...german glass is hands down the best glass made...if i knew 10yrs ago what i know now about scopes i whould of saved myself a LOT of time and money and bought a euro optic to start with.
