Max point blank range accurary, diff ammo brands?

Just a general question. If I set MPBR on my 308, can I use any ammo brand, and even 7.62x51, and hit steel out to my MPBR?

Well, that depends on how big the steel is. If the steel is small, like 2x3 inches, then no.

But in general terms, yes, because MPBR is only designed to get you on target. If your target is the size of a torso or the side of a deer then feel free to use whatever ammo you like, out to 300 yards.

MPBR in my memory is + or -3" elevation from the barrel to point of impact. In 308 using 150 grain factory ammo you set your 100 yard zero at 2.75" high and you're good to go ~268 yards before your round drops below 3".
