    a Q about RRA Dominator 2 sight.......

Ok so I dont have an EO.
This dud e is giving me a deal in xchange for my YHM Buis plus a little cash.
( no it is not on calguns ).
How are these is rear sights? esp since I dont know when I may get EO .
The new design on Dom 2, can you mount a scope if EO is not attached?

    thanks!

It depends, I suppose, on where you would place the rings and how high they are. The Dominator is only designed to have enough room for the EOTech, as far as I can tell, and that's not all that much length of "rail estate." On top of that, the fixed rear sight if fairly tall and would likely bump up against scopes mounted in anything but high rings.

Yeah, with a non-folding BUIS, you'd have a hard time fitting a scope over it.

This mount has 1 main purpose in life - mounting a standard height Eotech with lower 1/3 co-witness and fixed BUIS. It'd work fine as a stand-alone non-folding BUIS, too, but then there's not much reason for the rail, unless you have an optic setup you need to raise about 0.3".

Would it matter if the front sight is the regular one or F marked ?

No, the only difference that makes is how high the front sight post has to go, relative to the sight ears, to be zeroed. Pretty much all rear sights are the same height spec, so the Dominator would be the same as, say, an LMT or any other BUIS, as far as how it works with the front sight.

The centerline of the iron sights is 1.4" above the rail, and there's more above the aperture, of course, so you're looking at 1.6" or more that a scope would have to clear.

Folding sights are the same centerline height when up, but let you put them down so you have either a clearer field of view when using a non-magnified sight, or to allow you to mount a scope with a centerline closer to the iron sight centerline.

I think the Dominator's a solid rear sight, and it'll work fine as a fixed sight, but any fixed rear sight is too tall to fit magnified scopes over.
