Any way to retrofit TA01NSN with fiber optics?

Despite my uberjoy over my ACOG TA01NSN, I lament the lack of dual-illumination. From my casual observations of my model and a TA01 with fiber optics, the one noticeable thing stopping a FO install is the iron sights vs. the FO channel.

Presuming this could be swapped out, and presuming the internals are the same despite the lack of FO, could I send mine in for a retrofit?

Or just sell it and take the money you make to buy one with FO.

Maybe you should not have casually observed:

      TA01NSN:

      TA31F with fiber optic tube:

The iron sights have nothing to do with the FO tube, it's the entire body, fiber optic tube and the fiber optic to funnel light into the reticle. Basically if you took your sight, replace the entire body and most of the optical element you would have one with fiber optic. But than that would be more expensive and time consuming than buying a new unit. Essentially, you would have to buy a brand new one with fiber optic, have it torn apart, than have SOME of the parts on your NSN transferred over. Can you see the futility in all of this?

The bodies are nearly the same aside from the FO channel - notice the bump above the windage knob on both? That's where the FO feeds into the housing - and my only comment about iron sights was meant to illustrate that the iron sights sit in a place normally occupied by FO channel holding the FO tube.

I can readily see the great chance of futility in trying to do this - which is why I asked. But my question has to do with the internals - what makes them different, or is there one?

The TA01 models do not have the fiber-optic and it can not be added.
