Need scope for Ruger Gunsite Scout .308

I've read from different websites and watched a bunch of videos. Now I'd like to get some opinions on which scope would be best to use. If you currently have a RGSR, what are you using? Are you using a fixed or variable scope? Please link a website. I like Amazon.

My criterias:
Doesn't matter if its duplex or BDC
Able to plink to 100 yards or beyond
Shooting primarily deer/hogs

On my GSS I use a Burris Ballistic Plex 2-7x32mm that goes for around 380.00 with Warne 1" Quick Detach Rings Low Matte that go for about 48.00. I purchased these off of Amazon. I have this same setup installed on my M1A Scout Squad and on my Marlin 45-70.

That Burris you mentioned is quite nice. The reviews are good. Someone on Amazon posted their M1A and their gunsite scout too! I may spend an extra 250 for this scope. Just waiting for some more opinions. It's already in my cart.

The Warne rings are nice. I’d run from the Crossfire and Hi-Lux. The Burris scope is good to go.

On two of our three RGSR's we use Leupold 1.5-5 VXR's, with the Firedot reticle. While neither of those two rifles meet Scout Rifle criteria, and the optics are overweight, they are forward enough to allow access to the ejection port for proper "Scout type" manipulations. We have found this to be an excellent optic for deer and hog hunting, and have had very good success in that avenue.

I read the comments and the reviews and they were all great.
They are all setting it up the way I would like it to be.
I'm not sure about the magnification. Is it going to be enough to reach 100 yards? Would I be able to see clear a hog at say 300 yards?

I'll jump on the Burris Scout 2-7 recommendation. The ballistic plex reticle is great, and the subtensions are accurate enough for me to easily reach to 400 yds.

For slings, I'd highly recommend the Rhodesian Sling from Andy's Leather: https://www.andysleather.com/collect...hodesian-sling. It's pricey, but the workmanship is incredible. It gives you the functionality of a Ching Sling without having to drill a 3rd swivel hole into your stock.

Best sling around for any Scout configuration, or for our uses on any other rifle as well.

I have the 18" stainless steel barrel version and put an XS rail with integrated ghost ring sight and Galco Safari ching sling and GoodIron muzzle brake.

I put a Primary Arms 4-14 x44 FFP ACSS HUD DMR 308 scope.
Using the illuminated reticle for close range scout but can reach out far quickly with ACSS reticle

Using it in a DMR role instead of a lone scout but still can have 2 eyes opened for "scouting" and GSR w/ that scope is light enough to do the scout manuevering.

I set up a Ruger scout for a friend of mine a little while back, but here did not really need the whole scout set-up, so I got a longer rail from XS sights on there and Burris XTR II 2-10x42.

It works really well for his purposes.
