h59 no illumination vs TMR illuminated?

Looking at a Mark 6 3-18x44 by leupold mil/mil. I can get the newer style turrets, h59 reticle, and NO illumination for $2499....OR, I can get the same scope with older style turrets, TMR reticle, and it HAS illumination for $2199.

This is base price, shipped, and will come with a free $250 gift card from optics planet. I will also be getting 10 percent off on top of that.

Help me decide, I'm ordering today. TIA!

I like the H59 reticle have it on 3 of my scopes. I have a USO that is illuminated and think I have used it once. I dont quite understand a lit reticle when will you ever use it. Maybe its just me but I dont do alot of night shooting and the lit reticle seems more of a distraction but that just may be me. Plus I like that the H59 to me is easyer at long range.

Christmas tree reticles are the bee's knees. No hunting and no night shoots = Horus all the way.

Yeah the tree may look busy at first but once u know how to use it it beats having to count clicks. Watch the many youtube vids on how to use the horus and it really is simple and faster

The best answer depends on your intended application.

But Yes, the H59 reticle is a far more useful feature than illumination most of the time.

Unless you plan to use this scope predominantly in situations where an illuminated reticle is useful or necessary, the H59 will be worth the extra money.
