I want this scope, but it is $90 cheaper here than on Amazon. Problem is I never heard of them.

Any thoughts on the scope for a bolt action .223?

Depends on what range and how small your targets are. If it's a 24"x24" plate, 10x is just dandy. To me, moar mag is moar better. The VX-3i should be just fine, but for slightly more, you can get a Sightron S-Tac 4-20x50.

If you look at the small chicken and pig at six power, you can see how a top end of 10x is meh for any comfort. I'm not saying you can't be accurate, just why? Why hamstring yourself? Comfort gets you repeatable hits and a more enjoyable experience. [Insert tired old platitude of how the military stuck with 10x for so long]

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures! I ordered it already. My next scope will be a more long range scope I think. I want to get a rifle that shoots a round intended for longer ranges.
