So i took the leap and purchased an acog. Always wanted one. Feel guilty about finally having one and currently debating whether to return it or just keep.

I love mine. I wouldn’t get rid of it unless my house depended on it.sigpicLord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

Acog is cool, but have you ever had garlic bread?

If you can afford it, I'd keep it.
They are great optics for their designed purpose and I would never give mine up.Internet Talk is Cheap

Buyer's remorse has nothing to do with the quality of the product. Feelings of guilt should be ironed out before committing to purchase. It wastes the time and money of the retailer as well as the manufacturer to take it back and then have to sell it to someone else as an open box or return item.
If I was in your shoes, I would sell it used and try to make back most of my money, hopefully. Nothing is worse than skulking back to the store to return an expensive item like that for no reason.Comment

my acog
The Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) Optics are legends and my favorites. The ACOG optics are designed to be extremely durable and reliable.

Which do you prefer between the 11 and 33? Those are the 2 I've always considered, but wanted the opinion of someone who owned both."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill

For all around use they are both good.
The deciding factor was the amount of real estate used on the top rail when running bu sights. The rears I use are Matech's and the TA11 had to go too far forward for me to get a good view with bu's installed. The 33's are smaller and go right up top with enough room to keep a good view.
The 11 is the first ACOG I bought and the 33's (3 purchased later) are a result of a lesson learned regarding size.
The 11 rides on top with no bu sights on a POF gen 1 upper. It is a solid optic that has put the lights out of more than a few critter type NEPUT's around the ranch.
Rain/fog and riding behind the seat in my truck under dusty crappy conditions has not caused any problems to the sights.
Knowing what I was going to do with the sights before buying them was the reason I got them.
For me they are exactly what I needed.
*the sans battery feature is/was a plus because of the lack of needing to replace batts... ever.
* all of the sights use GG&G qd mounts and the oems sit in their respective scope cases.Last edited by FeuerFrei; 12-19-2017, 12:43 PM.Comment
