If not can anyone recommend a mount that will work or maybe even a different scope/mount Combo?

I'm not a fan of the Crossfire's especially at $300 - yikes... for $350 or so on-sale and before discounts like 20% off gift cards and 10-15% back from Active Junky... which could make a $350 scope cost $230... I'd be looking at Viper HS LR and similar scopes that wipe the floor with a CF2 priced @ $300.

What about Diamond Backs Thats what I have on my 308 and I like it. Hows do they compare?

My old Diamondback 4-12 looks better than my CrossfireII 3-9x50... Crossfire looks dingy compared to my other Vortex scopes. Who knows, maybe certain models of CF are better, but I steer clear.

The Diamondback line is a noticeable jump up from the CFs. Made in the Philippines, vs. China. Especially if you get one of the models with ED glass and parallax adjustment. Finer reticles too, for the most part.

I should add, I don't know which Diamondbacks are available in 30mm. I have a 2-8x with the ED glass and it's 1".

My CFII was a special deal at $90 shipped BNIB from Cabela's IIRC... and after looking through it I wasn't thinking I got a steal. It might go on a 10/22 or similar but probably not one of mine.
