Eye relief ?

I'm putting together my first AR build and have decided that the Aero Precision will be my choice for a 1-4X scope. I don't plan on precision shooting and just want an all purpose type rifle.
Not sure which version of their 'ultralight' mount will be best. Is the extended or SPR going to offer me anything the standard mount does not?

It's going to depend on the scope you're using and how long your stock is.

I wouldn't think that a 1-4x needs that much eye relief, but for the same price I would go with the extended SPR. Gives you more room to work, and if you decide you want a higher magnification scope later you can still use the same mount.

4" of ER seems comfy with a 1x4 on a standard AR . My 1x4 is set almost directly above my charging handle.
