Needing a scope for my AR10

I'm kinda new to optics I've always kept it at iron sights or a simple red dot but recently purchased a Palmeto State Armory PA10 gen2 in .308 I'm in need of some glass and not really sure where to begin. I've been looking at and leaning heavily toward a Nikon P-308 4-12X 40 kit comes with a mount for $230 (about where I wanna be on price) but also looking at a Vortex diamondback 3.5-10 x50 , vortex crossfire 6-18x44 A/O, Burris Fullfield E1 or a Leopold VX-1 3-9x40. As you can see kinda all over but these are some options that caught my eye. Looking for an all around scope little long range 600+ yard or so but also somthing I can use at 150-200 yards. Mainly using it for target shooting and possibly hunting elk/deer here in Utah. Thanks in advance.

Nikon. Best bang for the buck. Get the model with the BDC retical (M-308) and the base with the 20 MOA mount. Vortex is also a good option.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, you're doing it all wrong.

All depends on how far out you want to reach. I started with a 3x9 on my m and p 10 and am completely happy. 600 yards is about all I do anyways.

My vote is for the Nikon or the Vortex Diamondback

Lots of value for the price

I’ve never been disappointed with money spent on Leupold scopes and am willing to pay more for something made in USA.
No experience with Vortex, based here but import product.
Nikon has 50/50 track record for me. Good cost/benefit but when one of two needs warranty repair (replacement) I’ll go back and stick with Leupold.

              I use a Weaver 3-10X40 Mil-dot on my AR-10.
Pretty much owns all the 100-480 yd steel at SLOSA.
              p.s. stay away from BDC's.

You're going to have soooo much fun.

I spent $550-$600 on an illuminated Leupold VX-R scope and will never do so again. I like supporting American brands and American products but you simply don't get the value for your money from Leupold. The adjustment knobs made me cringe after the Diamondback I used to have. For less money I have been far more impressed with the quality of products from Vortex and Burris and Nikon.

I recently pulled the trigger on a Sig Whiskey 3 that I found on clearance at Midway USA. For a quality illuminated optic, it is one of the better values I have come across. Worth checking out.

Also check out SWFA, great bang for the buck

I am a pretty big Vortex fan, and I have owned a lot of their kit, from the Diamondback to the Razor. I found the most value in the Viper PST line, its a solid place to be for even an experienced shooter, or something looking to grow into the scope.

I also have a few scopes from SWFA. I really like their scopes, no frills, but solid honest stuff. The HD line is really excellent, but the classic stuff is a bargain. Tracks as good as anything else I own.

Spend time researching and buy what makes sense to you.

I have a Nikon Prostaff 7 4-16x on my M&P 10. Currently building an AR 10 and looking to put a PA 1-8x Platinum on it.
No complaints on the Nikon. So far has been able to get the job done.

I have mostly used their SIII models but the newer S-TAC have been getting really great reviews
