I bought my last one from Botach.
My LGS said I paid less than he did for the same scope.

I usually use optics planet, primary arms, Amazon, and eBay. For an off the beaten path vendor, I've had great luck with manventure outpost. Terrible website, slow but cheap shipping, but nice people and good prices for quality stuff.

California, the once-great first world state that is now a corrupt third world socialist cesspool.

Online and online. But, it depends on what you are looking for. For higher end scopes, local brick and mortar shops simply cannot pack the inventory to showcase a lot of scopes. So, most the scopes you can buy from the LGS are cheap scopes.

In this case was a Steiner P4Xi 1-4x24 illuminated etched BDC reyicle.
LGS was $675. Said they would go as low as $600.
Optics Planet, Amazon, etc was $525.
Botch was $465, no tax, no shipping, and free throw lever ($70 piece of plastic)..

1 piece if it's an AR; keep in mind your eye relief and ensure you get the right mount.

                    Rings for a bolt gun.

98% of the time Optics Planet will price match any item they carry (scope, rings, etc) from Amazon or any reputable company (not eBay). With that said, I also try buying from Amazon as I get 5% cash credit when using my Discovercard.

I haven’t bought optics from ManVenture Outpost but have been happy with other purchases from them.
