    Aimpoint Pro Question

I just bought an Aimpoint Pro from a friend. He didn't have the spacer. I'm going to get some Magpul BUS. About where will the BUS' be in my field of view without the spacer (co-wit, etc.)?

    Thanks.

On my AR, without spacer they aligned in the center of the red dot (co-witness).
With the spacer aligned lower than the center of the red dot (lower 1/3rd co-witness).
I needed the spacer for correct cheek weld using the red dot.

Without the spacer, it's absolute cowitness. With the spacer, it's lower 1/3 cowitness.

            This.

Enjoy your new aimpoint. They're harty little optics that are worth their weight.

Without the spacer it's below absolute co witness and your sights will likely align with the top of the aimpoint window. It is not ideal.

Well, OP it looks as if you have differing opinions.

                Mount up and report back.

                Standing by.

I was mistaken. I looked at mine closer and HK Dave is correct. Without the spacer, the optic sits lower than absolute cowitness. With the spacer, it sits somewhere in between absolute cowitness and lower 1/3 cowitness. It seems like the only way to get absolute or true lower 1/3 cowitness is to get an aftermarket mount.

Totally agree. I've had Trijicons and Eotechs but I keep coming back to this Aimpoint. A little heavy yes, but love the durability and simplicity of it. Cannot be beat for under $400. Just mounted another one on my latest rifle...
