Wanting to add a red dot to MP5 clone

Picked up a pre lawsuit GSG5, and it is a blast to shoot! I am wanting to add a red dot sight to it, but I don't want to break the bank for it. Have any in mind that are decent...any to stay away from?

I have a Vortex StrikeFire on my GSG5 that I have been very happy with. If I had it to do over though I would probably go SPARC or PA advanced micro dot. The StrikeFire is a little heavy for the smaller weapon.

great micro, great price, great CS. some say the dot is comparable to an aimpoint T1/H1. I run one on my buckmark, works great.

I have a primary arm on a Beowulf and a standard ar. They work pretty good

I have a Bushnell TRS 25 and a Primary Arms micro dot for sale right now in the marketplace. Of the two I'd easily recommend the TRS 25 over the PA dot. It's brighter, the clicks on the knob feel much more positive, and it just feels better built.

Sorry for the late response, I am not getting thread updates in my email for some reason.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Went shooting it today, and I am not good with iron sights. I wonder if there is a red dot that will line up between the irons.

How do you like that Walther? The pre lawsuit is metal, so it has a good feel to it. Does that red dot line up with the iron sights?
